I graduated from Keele University in 2007 with a First Class BSc Honours in Physiotherapy. Since then I have worked in both NHS and Private practice and have gained invaluable physiotherapy experience in a variety of clinical settings. My areas of speciality are in Care of the Elderly, Falls, Orthopaedics/Trauma, Neurology including Stroke and Pilates.
Pilates has always brought me great enjoyment and when the opportunity came about to train to teach Pilates as well it was too good an opportunity to turn down. I am fully Certified in Pilates Matwork and continue to complete training in further Pilates modules to improve and further my knowledge. My physiotherapy experience gives me a deep understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, this allows me to provide safe Pilates programs which are individually adapted for you.
Before joining a Pilates course there is a Health Questionnaire for you to complete and it may be I need to meet you for a 1:1 assessment. If needed, this allows me to modify any exercises so that they are safe and effective for you. The Pilates or rehabilitation programmes I follow are designed with you in order to meet your aims and expectations; promoting your independence and for achievement of your maximum rehabilitation potential.
